How long are the treatments?

• Cosmetic Acupuncture: Initial and Return Consultations: 1 hour
• Herb Only Consultation:
  • Initial Consultation: 40 minutes
  • Return Consultation: 20 minutes

What should I bring to my consultation?

Please bring any Western medicine exam results, the names of your current medications, and any details that may be relevant, such as recent menstrual cycle dates. It is also recommended to wear loose, comfortable clothing to allow easy access to the treatment area.

How about hygiene?

Hygiene is a top priority at Phases Chinese Medicine Clinic. All acupuncture needles are single-use, sterilized, and pre-packaged. Used needles are safely disposed of in medical sharps containers after each treatment.

Can I use the same herbal prescription with others?

No, diagnosis and treatment plans in Traditional Chinese Medicine are individualized. Always consult a qualified Chinese Medicine Herbalist before taking any herbal prescriptions.

What herbs do we provide?

We offer various traditional Chinese medicines, including:

• Patent Pills: Pre-made pills based on classic Chinese herbal formulas, proven effective for many conditions.
• Formulated Granules: Concentrated herbs prescribed alongside acupuncture to maximize therapeutic effects.
• Herbal Liniment: For external use only.

How should I take the Granules?

Simply dissolve the prescribed amount of herbal granules into warm water and drink it like tea or coffee.

Payment Methods & Surcharge

We accept cash, HICAPS, EFTPOS, and credit cards. Please note there is a 1.1% surcharge on all card payments. Our practitioners are registered with all major private health funds. *Acupuncture is covered by most health funds—contact your provider for specific coverage details.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made within 24 hours of an appointment will incur a 50% fee. Failure to show up without contacting us in advance will result in a 100% cancellation fee. Please provide at least 48 hours' notice when cancelling an appointment.
